New York - July 31, 2012: Inkaterra, Peru's leader in sustainable tourism and conservation, has created a new Family Getaway Package incorporating a stay at two of Peru's most fascinating destinations - the Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu.

 

Guests will spend two nights at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica followed by two nights at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel (both pictured, above). Highlights of the package include a twilight river excursion through one of the Amazon tributaries, a guided walk along the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway, a visit to Inkaterra's renowned Butterfly House, an organic tea-making lesson for children and a sunrise tour of Machu Picchu. 

 

The complete four-night Family Getaway Package includes: 

  • Two nights' accommodation at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel
  • Two nights' accommodation at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica   
  • All private transfers from and to airports and train station
  • Tea time at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica
  • Welcome Pisco Sour at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel
  • Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner at each property
  • Premium service train tickets from Cusco to Machu Picchu and back
  • Various private guided excursions in Machu Picchu and the Amazon rainforest
  • Children's tea-making lesson at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel
  • Private half-day excursion to Machu Picchu Citadel
  • Spa session and treatments for adults at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel's UNU SPA (a 45-minute private Andean sauna session in a candle-lit eucalyptus hut) and at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica's ENA SPA (a 50-minute couples cooling massage treatment)
  • Children's explorer kits at each property that include a flashlight, hat, compass, granola bar, postcards and colored pencils

  

Based on a family of two adults and two children under 12, the package is priced from US$1,850 per adult and US$700 per child, and will be available through November 30, 2012.
