Yosemite Inn Unveils New Wedding Garden And Group Rates

The Apple Tree Inn is located on scenic Highway 41 in Fish Camp, just two miles from the south gate entrance to Yosemite National Park. The inn consists of multi-room cottages set on a hillside amid themed gardens and enfolded by seven acres of evergreen woodlands.

Located at the highest point on the property, the wedding garden features a hand-sculpted arbor depicting maple trees; two lawns bordered by densely planted flowerbeds; a stone arch entrance; wrought iron gate; trellis fencing; and a stone patio inter-planted with thyme . . .all surrounded by a forest of pines, cedars, firs and oaks.

The Apple Tree Inn’s Seedling Wedding Package accommodates as many as 60 people. Prices range from $2,234 to $2,614 depending on the season. The package includes the following:

-Use of Bouquet Wedding Garden, including chairs, for wedding ceremony from noon to 6 p.m.

-Use of Morning Glory Hall, including tables and chairs, for reception from noon to 10 p.m.

-Two nights of lodging in the Elderberry Cottage, which includes two double queen rooms, as well as a mini-suite with a king bed and queen bed in adjoining room.

-Use of wedding coordinator for set up, clean up and general problem solving

-A parking attendant and set up of chairs in Bouquet Garden

The Full Bloom Wedding Package, which ranges from $2,384 to $2,864 depending on the season, includes all of the amenities and benefits of the Seedling Wedding Package, but with the added assistance of an on-site wedding coordinator on the day of the wedding, who will help coordinate with the wedding officiate as well as with photographers, florists, caterers and other vendors. The coordinator will also attend the wedding reception to ensure that all of the day’s details and timelines are met.

Group discounts on room rates are also available to guests for weddings that take place from September through June (group discounts are not available in July or August). The wedding packages do not include linens, catering, decorations, music, shuttles or other third-party services.

The Apple Tree Inn belongs to Moonstone Hotel Properties, a small family of garden-themed inns in California and Oregon. The inn features themed gardens, including the Moonlight Garden’s silvery plants that give a reflective sensation of moonlight; the Bouquet Garden’s natural rock terraces and sculpted stone archway; the Jack in The Beanstalk Garden, a creative rendering of the famous character in flowers, replete with a harp composed of golden foliage and fountain streams; the sunken Pacific Rim Garden, which emphasizes water, greenery and natural elements; and a whimsical Fairy Woodland Garden, which the young and old alike are invited to explore. Work on a Fish Camp Garden, reflecting the cultural and industrial heritage of the town of Fish Camp, will be begun in 2008.
