THE BEACH HOUSE MOVEMENT BEGINS IN TURKS AND CAICOS WITH GRACE BAY'S FIRST AUTHENTICALLY BOUTIQUE HOTEL

21-Suite Beach House Turks and Caicos Set to Grand Open in October 2012

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos - June 18, 2012 - This autumn, the Caribbean destination of Turks and Caicos will welcome a new breed of boutique hotel.  And thus, The Beach House Movement begins.  Grand opening in October directly on the white sands of Grace Bay is Beach House Turks and Caicos, a 21-suite property where there are “No Socks Allowed.”  Beach House Turks and Caicos will be ushering in a new era of barefoot elegance with a focus on style, a passion for relaxation, playful attention to detail and a vigorous commitment to raising Caribbean cuisine to new heights.

The full renovation of the two-acre property and plantation-style structure - formerly known as The Turks and Caicos Club - began May 21, 2012.  During the closure of the hotel, exterior and interior elements are being transformed to accentuate its prime location overlooking one of the world's most beautiful destinations, Grace Bay Beach, and bring the colors and aura of the ocean indoors.

Guest suites, each no smaller than 1,150 square-feet, will have “Pampering Pods” on Grace Bay Beach.  The Pods will provide guests with a sense of “home on the beach” as well as a private haven for intimate relaxation and beachfront dining.

"The combination of a breathtaking property and stellar launch team has presented us with an extraordinary platform in which to commence the Beach House Movement, which will be venturing beyond Turks and Caicos in the future,” said Andrew Ashcroft, Managing Director of Beach House Turks and Caicos.  "We look forward to providing a new type of hotel experience here on Grace Bay Beach, one that brings a sense of fun and playfulness set against the backdrop of a spacious and relaxed environment.”

UK-based Arcania Apothecary has been enlisted to develop the Beach House Signature Scent that will serve as the foundation and inspiration for an exclusive line of Beach House bath amenities and spa products.  Arcania products are bespoke and can only be found in a handful of the finest and most unique hotels around the world.

The food and beverage operation is being greatly expanded during the renovation with the build-out of a 1,500 square foot kitchen, wine cellar and bar area that will support full-scale special events for up to 200 people.  The 90-seat poolside restaurant and an extensive in-suite dining program will include sea-to-table and Chef’s garden-to-table cuisine, wine tastings, tapas primers and other fun surprises that will magically appear on guest suite patios.

Chef Eric Vernice, who most recently helmed the kitchen as Executive Chef of The Regent Palms Turks and Caicos, brings a wealth of knowledge and more than 25 years of experience with him to Beach House in his role as Director of Culinary.  His career has led him to premier venues throughout Canada, France and New York City prior to settling in the Caribbean.  Chef Eric boasts the rare accomplishment of having worked in not one but three restaurants each appointed with the coveted Michelin star.  Most notably Troisgros - in his hometown of Roanne, France - which received the highest honor of Three Michelin Stars from the world’s most recognized food guide.

Every great party must have a great host, and The Beach House Movement is no exception to that rule.  Jean Sebastien Richer - known to everyone as JS - will be guiding guests on adventures of the senses as Director of Food and Beverage.  An accomplished hotelier and sommelier, JS’s career has taken him throughout the world, most notably to the Cunard Line’s RMS Queen Mary 2 as Chief Sommelier, and most recently to The Regent Palms Turks and Caicos in food and beverage development.

Andrew Ashcroft added, "We are thrilled to have Eric Vernice and JS Richer on board to spearhead our commitment to making Beach House a prime destination for foodies and oenophiles and bringing dining in the Caribbean to new heights.”

As Director of Operations, Gillian Vernice will be working with her husband Chef Eric and the rest of the Beach House team to ensure seamless guest experiences from initial reservation to final check-out.  With more than two decades in hospitality management, Gillian’s experience includes a founding role on the development team of the 100-agent Intrawest Corporation Call Centre and her most recent position as the Revenue and Reservations Manager for The Regent Palms Turks and Caicos.

Brides and grooms with dreams of exchanging Grace Bay nuptials will have a limitless sense of ownership when booking their destination wedding at Beach House Turks and Caicos.  The property is ideally suited for wedding buyouts and plans are in development to offer wedding couples a full-scale event planning service unequalled in Turks and Caicos.

Beach House Turks and Caicos will also provide the ideal locale for corporate group buyouts and intimate retreats, as well as incentive-driven getaways.

Nightly rates at Beach House Turks and Caicos are from $532 to $1,038 on weekends and holidays with special rates available during shoulder seasons.  For additional information on Beach House Turks and Caicos or to book reservations, please visitwww.beachhousetci.com or call (649) 946-58
