Taj Safaris: Calling All Wildlife Fans to Submit Their WILDEST Photos by March 30

& Win Two Nights at a Luxurious Indian Safari Lodge

MUMBAI (February 17, 2012) - India’s first luxury wildlife circuit, Taj Safaris, has created a unique photography competition called “Seasons in the Wild.” Shutterbugs from around the world are invited to submit their best wildlife photographs on Facebook for a chance to win an exciting two-night all-inclusive stay at one of Taj’s safari lodges complete with the opportunity to spot a majestic Bengal tiger:

  • Mahua Kothi in Bandhavgarh National Park: The first luxury safari camp to open in a  region with India's densest population of tigers, this lodge offers 12 charming guest suites or kutiyas (jungle village huts) in the vernacular style of Central India, affectionately known as ‘MP Chic’ (MP being the state of Madhya Pradesh) with entrances off private courtyards with shaded seating, traditional mud floors and bicycles for local explorations.
  • Baghvan in Pench National Park: The setting for Rudyard Kipling’s classic, The Jungle Book, this lodge has 12 stand-alone luxurious air-conditioned suites in hues of copper and pale turquoise, shaded private patios and indoor and outdoor showers. Communal spaces include an open-air sitting room with interactive kitchen, deep welcoming sofas, handmade Parsi tiles, giant ebony chests, high ceilings, overhead fans and huge windows overlooking the nullah (dry riverbed).
  • Banjaar Tola in Kahna National Park: This lodge features two elegant and eco-friendly camps, each containing nine tented suites with their own intimate private decks and solar-heated pools overlooking the river. The tented suites are made with pressed bamboo wall panels, natural bamboo floors, and locally crafted furniture accented with block-printed Madhya Pradesh cottons and silks in tones of delicate saffron and washed green.
  • Pashan Garh in Panna National Park: This lodge offers 12 private stone cottages atop a hill, each with dramatic roofs of irregular slate and a romantic suspended sala that overlooks the jungle, inspired by the dry-packed stone houses of the Panna region.

Taj Safaris’ “Seasons in the Wild” also offers various expert guidelines on wildlife photography and encourages participants to log onto FacebookTwitterFlickr and [Back to Press Releases Main]
