New York - December 9, 2011: The Israel Ministry of Tourism launched its upgraded website this week at www.goisrael.com, featuring brand-new navigation options, a scrolling picture gallery and information tools designed to assist travelers to Israel.

The comprehensive website, viewable in 20 languages, allows users to browse according to interest or region, and includes information detailing Israel's collection of art, history, eco-tourism, adventure and religious sites. Clicking on one of the main page thumbnails will prompt a separate screen replete with site descriptions and images, as well as a range of events taking place throughout the year.

"We are excited about the launch of our vibrant new website," says Haim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America, "which will better facilitate and inspire travelers of all tastes and interests to visit Israel."

In addition to learning about options for accommodations, transportations and tour operators in Israel, users can also take a virtual tour of the Holy Land on the new site.
