Historic Inn at Pocono Manor’s Earns Coveted AAA Diamond Award

 Pocono ManorPennsylvania, November 2011 ... The Inn at Pocono Manor has announced it is the recipient of the AAA Three Diamond Award for 2011.  Lisa Green, director of sales & marketing, made the announcement.

 

“It is indeed an honor to be recognized by AAA,” said Ms. Green.  “This award is a wonderful tribute to the many improvements we have made at the Inn at Pocono Manor over the past year, and acknowledges the hard work and dedication of our wonderful team of service professionals." 

 

As the New Year approaches, the Inn at Pocono Manor is completing its multimillion dollar, comprehensive renovation of the main lodge, which originally opened in 1902.  Over $5 Million was invested in the restoration and enhancement of the lodge building's public spaces and restaurants, meeting and event spaces, and guestrooms, which received new period-appropriate window, wall and floor coverings, new furnishings and bedding, linens, and bath facilities.  Also enhanced were the Inn's technological capabilities to support the changing needs and requirements of 21st Century guests.

 

Lodgings in AAA’s three diamond rating category offer an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail.  The Inn at Pocono Manor is part of a select group of three diamond recipients within the hospitality industry.  In 2011, a small percentage of the more than 59,000 AAA Approved and Diamond Rated lodgings and restaurants across the U.S.CanadaMexico, and the Caribbean received the designation.

The assignment of a AAA rating of One to Five Diamonds marks the completion of a successful annual evaluation.
