Dear Friends,

On October 28, the Statue of Liberty will celebrate its 125th anniversary. In honor of this occasion, we've added some history and insight on the strong bonds between the French region of Alsace and the United States, as the statue's creator was born in the town of Colmar in Alsace.

In the heart of the fall harvest season, we also present to you news from our annual French Affairs travel trade event, the latest on the eco-friendly car rental service hitting the streets of Paris, and a preview of the upcoming holiday shopping season. In November, France will welcome a new Jean Cocteau museum in the Riviera, a WWI museum in Meaux, and the annual Beaujolais Nouveau harvest festivities.
