MONACO (October 25, 2011) - The Hôtel de Paris was recently voted the number one hotel in southern Europe at the 2011 Reader’s Choice Awards, thanks to votes by readers of the prestigious magazine Condé Nast Traveler, beating its rivals from France, Spain and Italy!

A treasure among the luxury hotels in Monaco since 1864, the Hôtel de Paris has succeeded in keeping up with the times while retaining its solemnity. Overlooking the sea, next to the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the Opéra Garnier, this jewel of Belle Époque architecture has always been a favorite of the great of this world, for whom it was reserved exclusively on the occasion of the wedding of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

The legendary Monegasque luxury hotel’s welcome and service are unequalled, thanks to the skills of the men and women who do their utmost to ensure that guests have everything that’s expected in a top-of-the-range luxury hotel. The Hôtel de Paris is also a mecca for gastronomy thanks to its exceptional restaurants where Mediterranean cuisine is the very expression of refinement: the Grill, the Côté Jardin, the sumptuous Salle Empire and the 3-starred Louis XV–Alain Ducasse. Its cellars are amongst the finest in the world.

The Hôtel de Paris is also honored for its unique offering in the field of well-being and preventive health care. Facing the Mediterranean, the 21,650 square-foot Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo boasts state-of-the-art equipment and personalized treatments ministered by highly skilled therapists. The spa, considered to be one of the finest in Europe, has two heated seawater swimming pools as well as a first rate restaurant.

In 2006, the Hôtel de Paris won the “Leader's Club Guest Recognition Award of Excellence” thanks to voting by clients of Leading Hotels of the World, while other Monte-Carlo SBM hotels also received a number of prestigious honors. Monte-Carlo SBM takes great pride as the creator of fabulous hotels applauded by the world’s most discerning travelers.
