This includes H2OHHH!, a fun new frequent rewards program for fans of the resort’s 100-foot Mangrove Mountain waterslide, junior golf and tennis camps. This summer, guests will also be able to purchase a clever new t-shirt to support loggerhead turtle conservation at Clam Pass Beach. Set on 23 waterfront acres with an adjoining 200-acre mangrove preserve and estuary, three miles of pristine beach, three swimming pools, daily supervised activities for children ages 4 to 12 and inventive dining, the eco-smart retreat has all of the elements for an inspired family vacation. Guests who book “Best of Waldorf”* will also enjoy daily free breakfast for kids and a $25 daily resort credit to apply to their choice of activities.

H2OHHH! Fun at Mangrove Mountain

Avid waterslide fans will clamor to be part of the exclusive new H2OHHH! excitement at the beach-style entry Mangrove Pool. The dramatic 100-foot Mangrove Mountain waterslide twists around a rock wall tower through landscaped waterfalls, with thrilling white water surges of 800 gallons per minute. New this year: ride the slide 50 times to receive a colorful rubber wrist band from the Waterslide Concierge that can be redeemed for fun H2OHHH! prizes, such as ice cream, pool toys and more. Receive new bands for multiples of 50 rides (100, 150 and 200) and enjoy additional prizes, including poolside lunch for your entire family. The savvy Waterslide Concierge is also the go-to person to help you safely adjust your waterslide ride from “mild to almost wild” or locate the area’s best kid-friendly refreshments and evening entertainment. For a ringside seat and respite from the sun, reserve a private family poolside cabana (separate fees apply). For those who prefer a quieter pool experience, the resort also offers the relaxing Palm Terrace Pool across from the Mangrove Pool and the Hibiscus Hideaway pool, ideal for swimming laps in the landscaped courtyard that adjoins the bungalows.

Junior Golf and Tennis Camp

An invigorating summer golf and tennis camp session will be held August 1-5 (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) to introduce kids ages 7 to 15 to the rules, fundamentals and key concepts for playing golf and/or tennis. Mark Durland, director of golf instruction, leads the golf sessions. Tennis sessions, led by Tennis Director Fabio Vasconcellos, are held at the Naples Grande Tennis Center, named one of the top eight U.S. tennis resorts by Tennis magazine in December 2010. The resort’s tennis facilities include 15 Har-Tru clay courts managed by Peter Burwash International. The camp sessions, limited to eight participants, are available on a first-come basis for children of resort guests and area residents for $300 for full-day (golf and tennis) or $175 for half-day (golf or tennis) per student. Camp participants are advised to wear smooth-soled shoes; golf clubs and/or racquets will be provided. To reserve, call 239-784-2208 or email mark@durlandgolf.com.
