IT'S A NEW DAY IN ESTES PARK HOSPITALITY
Rex Maughan (l), President, Forever Resorts, and Estes Park Colorado's Mayor, Bill Pinkham (r), gathered atRocky Mountain Park Inn (RMPI) on April 27, 2011 for a ceremonial tree planting. The ceremony and reception, attended by Estes Park city council representatives and hosted by Forever Resorts' executive staff, commemorated the long-standing working relationship between the City of Estes Park and Forever Resorts. The occasion also served to officially launch RMPI as an independently owned and operated conference hotel managed by Forever Resorts. RMPI is connected to the Estes Park Conference Center and was previously associated with Holiday Inn.

Big Bend—Big Adventures, Big Fun 
Big Bend National Park, formally established in 1944, gets its name from its location on the famous bend in the Rio Grande River, the natural border separating the United States and Mexico. This remote Texas National Park protects and invites visitors to explore its vast, diverse Chihuahuan Desert ecosystems: river, desert and mountain terrains—on road or off road. The Park is just over 800,000 acres. Recreational opportunities are exceptional; in fact, many visitors return again and again.

 

What's there to do? This should whet your appetite:

Hiking 
With more than 150 miles of dirt roads and 200 miles of trails, the Park is a hiker's paradise containing the largest expanse of road-less public lands in Texas. Elevations range from 1,800 ft. (the eastern end of Boquillas Canyon) to 7,832 feet atop Emory Peak in the Chisos Mountains. Talk about a variety of plants, animals and views!

Driving Tours 
Big Bend is a big place—there's over three hundred miles of roads. Depending on what you're driving, roads less travelled are there to be discovered, as are eight sites on the National Register of Historic places.
