The Roof at Taj Boston Sports Classic New Look

05-09-2011

Boston (May 9, 2011) – Taj Boston, the landmark hotel at Arlington and Newbury streets, has updated the look of The Roof, the contemporary glassed-in aerie that is the site of Boston’s most popular Sunday Champagne Brunch as well as an array of elegant private events.

The stylish space now features a newly renovated foyer with modern design that reflects the classic black and white theme, making it the ideal venue for a private cocktail reception or wedding. The city's only rooftop venue overlooking the Public Garden with stunning panoramic views of the cityscape as well, The Roof is open April to November and can host 50 to 180 people for a reception or private dining at round tables of 10.

Every Sunday in season, The Roof hosts Sunday Champagne Brunch. Guests will experience the tempting buffet of culinary creations presented by Executive Chef Michael Mandato and his team of talented chefs. This includes made-to-order breakfast selections such as omelets and waffles. Other themed displays spotlight chilled seafood, artisan cheeses, antipasti and individual appetizers, Mediterranean charcuterie and salads, a sushi chef’s presentations, risotto and fresh pastas, grilled salmon medallions with beurre blanc and a carving station with roasted rib eye with Bèrnaise sauce. There will also be a special presentation of Indian cuisine, and Pastry Chef Susan Lagalle and her staff will create an artistic dessert fantasy buffet.

Sunday Champagne Brunch begins at 10:30 a.m., with seating until 2:30 p.m. Pricing is $69/adults with Champagne, $59/adults without Champagne, $30/children ages 4-12, complimentary for ages 3 and under. All departing hotel guests who reserve for brunch will enjoy a 1 p.m. late check-out.

For a weekend getaway that can include sumptuous Sunday brunch and more, overnight rates begin at $249. Or make it a long weekend, and take advantage of the hotel’s “book two nights and receive the third night free offer,” with rates from $249, valid through September 30, 2011, and subject to availability.
