Free Instruction for Women with the North American Ski Training Center

01-05-2008

The North American Ski Training Center (NASTC) and LUNA Bar are announcing the first ever LUNA Chix winter team – The LUNA Chix of NASTC. The LUNA Chix of NASTC is a fusion of the energy and mindset of LUNA Bar and the high quality product that NASTC offers. The Team LUNA Chix program is dedicated to getting more women into sports and outside to play, knowing how intimidating it can be to get into the sport of skiing and succeed at it; NASTC and LUNA Bar together have created a team of elite women ski instructors. These women will not only serve as ambassadors in the sport of skiing but will also contribute their collective time and effort to support and raise awareness for the Breast Cancer Fund. Not only do these Chix rip, but they are willing to pass on their knowledge of skiing to other women and support a good cause at the same time.

The LUNA Chix of NASTC team members have been selected for their ability to coach at the NASTC caliber and their talent to create a fun and supportive learning environment. The goal of the LUNA Chix of NASTC team is to empower women by helping them develop confidence in themselves through skiing. These incredible women are offering up their talents to the female public at local resorts throughout the Tahoe area. To check out what the LUNA Chix of NASTC are all about, join them at a “Ski with the LUNA Chix Day,” which are complimentary half day clinics at local Tahoe resorts that give women the opportunity to ski with team members and get a few good tips on their skiing. Longer courses are also available; the Luna Chix of NASTC will be hosting a 3 day course at Squaw Valley, Ca, January 14-16 and at Northstar-at-Tahoe, Ca, February 23-25. These courses will give women all the coaching/attention they need to make improvements in their individual skiing. Over the course of three days, women will be exposed to NASTC’s unique system of instruction, lots of skiing, an equipment analysis and tune-up, video analysis with NASTC’s video coaching program, a banquet dinner and an endless amount of laughs. The first “Ski with the Luna Chix Day” will be held January 8th at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort. Meet the LUNA Chix of NASTC at 9:00am at the top of the gondola for a half day of fun with the girls. The clinics and courses are open to skiers levels intermediate through advanced. Also keep an eye out at your local mountain, where these girls will be tearing up the slopes, practicing their game in their signature yellow team jackets.
