One-Day Event Features More than 100 Classic and Exotic Vehicles, Lecture Programming, High-End Marketplace and Fine Food & Drink


(Beverly Hills, CA - March 2011) The City of Beverly Hills second annual Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance, fast becoming one of the most elegant and prestigious concours events in the United States, returns to the historic Greystone Estate May 1, 2011. The event will showcase more than 100 vintage, rare and unique automobiles and motorcycles. 

Ideal for motor vehicle enthusiasts as well as lovers of luxury items, the Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance has something for everyone. A high-end marketplace will be present inside the mansion, featuring fine art, jewelry, automobilia, and accessories. Historic and educational tours of the Greystone Estate will take place throughout the day; and, food stations catered by Lawry's Restaurants as well as beer and wine gardens, margarita and espresso bars will be conveniently situated throughout the estate grounds. 

The Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance will also feature lecture programming. Four lectures will take place beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continue one per hour at 12:00pm, 1:00pm and 2:00pm. Speakers include Donald Osborne of Sports Car Market Magazine who will speak about the present state of the collector car market; internationally known Ferrari appraisers Lance Coren and Bryan Thomas will speak about exotic car appraisals; professional stunt drivers Corey Eubanks and Debbie Evans will speak about the thrills of professional stunt driving. Michael Furman, photo journalist will share his expertise in automobile photography.

An awards presentation will take place at 3:00 p.m. and honor select vehicles. Hosted by KABC7 TV Automotive Specialist Dave Kunz, the ceremony will award prizes for Best in Show, Spirit of Greystone, Tiffany & Co. Most Elegant,, Jesse Alexander Most Outstanding Sports Car, Mayor's Choice, People's Choice, Brooks Bros Classic Award and Meguiar's Best Paint and Best of Class, among other awards to be announced.

A portion of proceeds from Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance ticket sales will benefit the non-profit Friends of Greystone, and their ongoing restoration efforts of the Greystone Estate. Tickets are $100 per person when purchased in advance and $125 at the door. Ticket sales are limited to 3000 and ticket purchase includes unlimited food and drink, program book and poster, as well as access to the estate grounds and mansion, as well as a two for one admission to the Peterson Automotive Museum. 

The Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance is sponsored by Gooding & Co., Meguiars, Tiffany & Co., Sports Car Market Magazine, Brooks Brothers, Stella Artois Beer, Asombroso Tequila, Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills, The Armand Hammer Foundation, The Petersen Automotive Museum, Terranea Resort and the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau, with additional sponsors to be announced.
