Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival Offering 50 Percent Off Tickets for Island Hotel Guests

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (March 1, 2011) – The 10th Annual Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival (AICMF) has announced a 50 percent discount on all concert tickets for anyone staying at one of the island’s award-winning hotels, condos, inns or resorts during the festival, May 20 through June 19, 2011.  As in its successful nine previous seasons, the 2011 AICMF will showcase world-class artists performing a wide variety of chamber music in intimate and historic settings around Amelia Island. To purchase discounted tickets, visitors must call the AICMF Box Office at (904) 261-1779 and have a valid confirmation number from a local hotel, condominium, bed and breakfast inn or resort for their stay during the festival.

“This is tremendous initiative by the festival, and really an incredible bargain for visitors,” said Gil Langley, President and CEO of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This offer will very likely attract more overnight visitors to the island, but also makes these world-class concerts more accessible for all our guests.”

AICMF is dedicated to bringing classical and contemporary music at the highest level, with performances by the Tokyo String Quartet, violinist Rachel Barton Pine, classical guitarist Sharon Isbin, and many others. The festival offers four free concerts, including the Air National Guard Band of the South performing a Splendor in the Brass concert. Other AICMF highlights include two Candlelight Concerts at Fort Clinch State Park, the more informal Beer and G Strings at the Palace Saloon, and La Tierra Prometida. For ticket details and additional information, call (904) 261-1779 or visit www.aicmf.com.
