PARIS' HOTEL FOUQUET'S BARRIÈRE HARVESTS
WINE FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Harvest Fouquet's Barriere

New York - January 5, 2011:  Hotel Fouquet's Barrière, Paris' most ecologically responsible five-star hotel, recently launched 'Harvest Fouquet's Barrière,' a special wine-making program in which all proceeds go towards the reforestation of the Landes forest, Europe's largest maritime pine forest (which was partially destroyed during a storm in 2008).

Conducted by employees of Hotel Fouquet's Barrière along with a team from winemaker Marie-Laure Lurton, the first harvest was held on October 2, 2010 at Chateau La Tour de Bessan Margaux. A total of 3,000 bottles (63 batches) of wine were sold, raising €45,000 (approximately US$59,414).  With this money, 99 acres of the Landes forest will be re-planted.

The next Harvest Fouquet's Barrière will take place in March 2011 with the participation of Philippe Faure-Brac, one of the world's leading sommeliers.
