New "Mad Men Package" Features Cocktails at the Renowned Monkey Bar, Roses, Strawberries, Chocolates, And More

New York, NY (October 20, 2010) — It's easy to imagine Don Draper strolling through the Hotel Elysée's lobby after a hard day at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce circa 1960. After all, as mentioned on AMC's hit show, Mad Men, the Hotel Elysée's understated elegance could indeed be the explanation for its continued popularity over the years. And now, the Hotel Elysée is introducing a special Mad Men package to help fans follow in the footsteps of their favorite ad man.

Perhaps channeling Joan Holloway's attention to detail, the Mad Men package at the Hotel Elysée adds a distinctive hint of romance and elegance to a stay at this popular hotel just steps from the fictional Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce offices in Midtown Manhattan.  Upon arrival, guests will find a dozen red roses in one of the hotel's luxurious suites, strawberries, and a four-piece box of Leonidas chocolates.

But no Mad Men experience would be complete without two complimentary cocktails to enjoy at the legendary Monkey Bar located just off the lobby or in the privacy of the guest's suite.  And for those who choose to dine at the Monkey Bar, they will also receive an exclusive 10% discount off their dinner check.

This package is available year-round and based on availability, but blackout dates may apply.  The Monkey Bar is closed on Sundays and is occasionally booked for private parties. On such occasions, complimentary cocktails will be delivered to the suite.  The package cannot be combined with any other sales or special offers.

The Mad Men package costs a one-time fee of $40 added to the rate of the Hotel Elysée's luxurious suites which begin at $429 per night and includes a lavish Continental breakfast with pastries, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, cold and hot cereals, boiled eggs, yogurt, juices, freshly brewed coffee, tea, espresso and cappuccino served daily in the club room (valued at $20 per person); complimentary daily newspapers available each morning; cookies, fresh fruit, coffees and teas available throughout the day ($15 value per person); evening reception including Prosecco, fine wines, imported and domestic cheese and hors d'oeuvres offered each weekday from 5 to 8 p.m. ($30 per person); complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access; and daily passes to the nearby New York Sports Club ($30 per person value).  The package is available through September 8, 2011.

To book this package, travelers may call 212-753-1066, e-mail info@elyseehotel.com, or visit the Hotel Elysée website at www.elyseehotel.com
