12-07-2007

New York, December 2007 -- Vacations to China are normally a West Coast departure with tour operators offering add-on airfares -- Pacific Delight Tours is offering a unique special – the seven-day air-inclusive “Beijing SuperValue” package with non-stop flights aboard United Airlines out of Washington D.C.’s Dulles Airport at prices from $1,168 to $1,558 per person, double; and from NY, connecting in Dulles, from $1,088 to $1,478.  Eleven other winter specials, ranging from the popular 10-day “Three Gorges Yangtze River” itinerary to the luxury 19-day “Classic China & Yangtze River”, are being offered with discounts to add-on fares from 23 Eastern seaboard cities.  Normally adding $160 to $320 to the price, the special arrangement with United Airlines has dropped those rates to $60 to $220, saving up to $400 per couple.  Offers are good on new bookings made by Dec. 20, 2007.  Fuel surcharges are included in the price; government-imposed taxes and fees, including the 9/11 Security Fee of up to $155, are additional.  Prices are subject to change.

The 12 departures of the late December 2007 through March, 2008 “Beijing SuperValue” offer participants a choice of superior first-class or deluxe accommodations and includes sightseeing, local professional guides, breakfast daily and two lunches, transfers, baggage handling, and hotel taxes and service charges.  The two full days of sightseeing includes major highlights of any trip to Beijing: Tian An Men Square; Forbidden City, the world’s largest palace complex with 9,999 buildings; the Summer Palace; the Great Wall; Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs, the burial grounds of 13 emperors; and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.  A Lake Kunming boat ride at the Summer Palace is weather-dependent.

Four of Pacific Delight’s Luxury Imperial Experience 14- to 19-day air-inclusive tours, featuring five-star hotels, exclusive cultural activities and groups limited to 26 members, are offered to guests departing select East Coast gateways at starting prices of $3,518 from New York and $3,628 from Florida – a savings of up to $200 per couple.  A similar offer is available on seven 10- to 19-day Deluxe SuperValue Tours with 15 departures - starting fares of $1,994 from NY and $2,104 from Florida.  These packages feature deluxe and superior first-class hotels, sightseeing, daily breakfasts and some lunches, local professional guides, transfers, Intra-China transportation and cultural activities and performances.
