SOUTHAMPTON, Bermuda — This year the island's iconic "Bermuda Shorts" and the incomparable Reefs resort are celebrating their 60th Anniversaries.  Each guest who checks in to The Reefs wearing Bermuda shorts, receives the requisite socks free.  As the holidays approach, there is still time to enjoy The Reefs' 60th Anniversary Bermuda Shorts Package.

As the year winds down, The Reefs is preparing to expand its facilities to ensure that guests continue to receive unparalleled service in 2008 and beyond at this intimate, luxurious resort, “feeling perfectly at ease.”  A new kitchen and redesigned restaurants, Grill 56 and Ocean Echo, will be the result of the improvements.  The spa will triple in size and open in a new location on the beach.  At the same time, The Reefs Club, new private residences next door, will begin to take shape.  Meantime, Coconuts, The Reefs’ lovely beachside restaurant is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the first time in The Reefs history.

The Reefs marked their 60^th anniversary on October 24th with a special party inviting past guests — so many familiar faces — to join in the festivities. More than 55% of The Reefs guests are return guests.  Also, The Reefs honored all hotel staff of more than 10 years, along with many who have made The Reefs what it is today. 

 

The Resort will close for the year December 10 and reopen April 1, 2008.
