HARD ROCK HOTEL SAN DIEGO OFFERS A NEW TURKEY TRADITION THIS NOVEMBER

10-14-2009

Holiday Package Offers Guests More than Mom’s Turkey Dinner

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – (Oct. 13, 2009) – For many families Thanksgiving tradition begins with an annual wild turkey hunt.  Never known to follow status quo, Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is giving new meaning to the time-honored ritual with a holiday package featuring hip accommodations, hearty comfort food, a shot of, not at, the famous Wild Turkey, and the perfect excuse to ditch the standard family dinner in exchange for an irreverent Thanksgiving getaway.

Starting at $209 per night weeknights and $239 per night weekends during the month of November, the Wild Turkey package begins with a stay in a lavish Studio or Hard Rock Suite featuring cantilevered furniture, halo-illuminated beds, and sensually-styled bathrooms. Guests looking to fill their turkey cravings will enjoy a $40 dining credit at Maryjane’s, the hotel’s retro-chic diner, where they can gobble “Pie Two Ways,” featuring a savory Turkey Pot Pie paired with a slice of sweet pumpkin pie for dessert, or any of the restaurant’s classic American cuisine. Finally, to get the real party started, guests will receive a Wild Turkey premium bourbon whiskey shot or cocktail from one of the property’s acclaimed nightspots -- Float or 207.

“If Thanksgiving is customarily about friends, family, good times and turkey then Hard Rock Hotel’s Wild Turkey package is spot-on with annual tradition,’” said Matt Greene, general manager at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.  “You have all the elements of a conventional holiday except no adults will be relegated to the kids table and our turkey is a shot of fine Kentucky bourbon.”

The Wild Turkey package, starting at $209 per night on weekdays and $239 per night on weekends, is available from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30, 2009 and is based on double-occupancy. Taxes, gratuities and service charges are additional. To book the Wild Turkey package, please visit www.hardrockhotelsd.com or call 888-593-6177 and use Promo Code: Turkey.
