09-19-2007

New York, NY, September 2007 -- Pacific Delight Tours has announced an Early-Bird Savings program with prices lowered by as much as $250 on its entire portfolio of 2008-2009 air-inclusive Yangtze River cruise packages when booked with a deposit by November 8, 2007.  Four categories of vacation programs, designed to suit all types of travelers and budgets, combine comprehensive and enriching land tours with sailings aboard Victoria Cruises’ Premier Series five-star fleet.  All tours feature several guaranteed departures.

Yangtze River programs boast, at minimum, outside staterooms with full bath and private balconies aboard Victoria Cruises’ five-star ships, thus guaranteeing views of the breathtaking scenery along the river, including the impressive section of the Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge; as well as the world’s largest hydroelectric project – the Three Gorges Dam. The programs -- most of which are escorted and led by professional bilingual guides with strong knowledge and first-hand insights of the culture, history and attractions along the river and at the destinations -- provide guests with a more intimate travel experience and a deeper understanding of the regions visited. .

China Gold Experience tours, with just 16 travelers, feature luxury hotel stays throughout; three to four nights in Junior Suite accommodations aboard Victoria Cruises’ newest ship, the Victoria Anna; private dinner parties and front-row seats at cultural performances.  The 18-day “Classic China” program takes in Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Guilin and Hong Kong; the 19-day “Majestic China” adds the water town of Zhujiajiao; fares range from $7,708 to $8,678 per person, double occupancy.*  Guests who opt for China Imperial Experience programs, with a maximum of 26 participants, stay in outside staterooms on the two upper decks of Victoria Cruises ships with private balconies on three-night Yangtze cruises. Offerings range from the 14-day “Historic Cities” -- Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai – to the 21-day “China In-Depth,” adding Dazu and Hangzhou. Fares are $3,768 to $6,678.

China & Asia SuperValue tours provide itineraries with upscale hotel stays; three- to six-night Yangtze cruises with outside cabins, private balconies and full bath; and popular sightseeing options.  Five tours of 10 to 19 days include land portions that visit Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an at prices ranging from $2,348 to $4,598.  The company also offers exotic, off-the-beaten path itineraries – China & Asia Escapade -- that combine the Yangtze with such destinations as the Tibetan city of Lhasa and China’s Chengdu, whose research base is home to the giant panda. Fares are $3,738 to $5,188.

Pacific Delight’s Yangtze River programs, available year round, include round-trip transpacific flights from the west coast, pre-confirmed hotel accommodations, all air/land transportation in Asia, most meals, sightseeing and shore excursions, cultural activities, tour escort, transfers, fuel surcharges, hotel taxes, service charges and baggage handling.  Land-only prices and single supplements are available as are add-on fares from dozens of US gateways. Travelers receive $100,000 flight insurance and frequent flyer credit when Pacific Delight tickets the air.  *Government-imposed taxes and fees, including the Sept. 11th Security Fee of up to $155, apply and are additional.  Prices are subject to change.
