North Hampton, NH (September 3, 2009) - It is as simple as this:  Fall Foliage is synonymous with New England.  And when travelers want to experience the best of the best that New England has to offer, they need go no further than New England Inns & Resorts Association.  This year NEIRA members have compiled autumnal activities galore to wow and thrill their guests and give them the best that the region has to offer in both experience and value.  

The New England Inns and Resorts Association is comprised of nearly 300 of the finest inns, resorts, hotels, and B&Bs in the region, with a wide range of accommodations to satisfy every visitor.  The Autumn Packages offerings vary by property, and visitors can find the getaway that suits them best by visiting www.NewEnglandInnsandResorts.com. Sample packages include:

 

  • The Corn Maze Package (Nordic Village Resort, Jackson, NH) - Package includes two weekend night accommodations, two adult passes to the Maze at Sherman's Farm (which features a giant corn maze plus all types of autumnal entertainment and concessions) and a $10 off coupon at Yesterday's restaurant in Jackson. Rates start at $220.  Offer valid Sept. 19 - Oct. 31.  Some blackout dates apply.

 

  • Scarecrow Building Package (Nonantum Resort, Kennebunkport, ME) - This package is packed with fun and the opportunity to win a stay at Nonantum Resort!  Each package includes a two-night stay in a Carriage House Inn water view room, a build your own scarecrow kit, a $25 dining credit per person for use at 95 Ocean (Nonantum Resort's award-winning restaurant), bicycle rental, one-day tickets for the InTown Trolley, breakfast daily, turndown service and gratuities.  Rates for two people start at $359 mid-week and $519 weekends (taxes not included) and are good through October 11, 2009.  All scarecrows built will attend the "Scarecrow Wedding" held at the resort on October 11th, kicking off Kennebunkport's "Gathering of the Scarecrows" Festival.  Winners will be judged by Nonantum Resort staff and will be notified the week of October 11, 2009.  Prizes include free stays at the resort including dining credits.

 

  • Get Up and GO for FALL (Centennial Inn Suites, Farmington, CT) - Package includes one night in a Studio Suite, a map of MUST SEE scenic nearby sights including waterfalls, lakes, rivers, parks and an historic covered bridge, a $10 gas card and a coupon book for local shops featuring a cider mill, gourmet cheese shop, vineyard and drive through petting zoo.  Plus some of the most amazing foliage anywhere in the country.  Package starts at $165.  Second night can be booked for only $99!  Package is good Sept. 15 - October 31, 2009.

 

  • Tranquil Autumn Getaway (Castle Hill Inn & Resort, Newport, RI) - Package includes two nights accommodations, two tickets to tour one of Newport's Historic Preservation Society Mansions, one romantic three-course dinner for two in the Castle Hill Dining Room, afternoon tea daily and breakfast each morning overlooking the scenic Narragansett Bay.  Rates for this package start at $1,520 in September and $1,112 in October.  Rates include tax and gratuities and are based on double occupancy.  Available through October 31, 2009.
