The New Regal Sun Resort In Central Florida Offering A Special “Holiday Package

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL (November 2007) – If you’d like to see all of the beautiful holiday decorations at the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, or take in one of the special holiday events like the popular Candlelight Processional at Epcot®, you should consider taking advantage of the great “Holiday Package” being offered by the new Regal Sun Resort located inside the Walt Disney World® Resort. Formerly known as The Grosvenor, the resort features an ideal location right across the street from Downtown Disney® and its Pleasure Island® nighttime entertainment complex, and just completed an impressive $25 million property-wide renovation. 

 

In addition to accommodations in a newly designed guest room, the “Holiday Package” includes a breakfast buffet for up to four people at the resort’s new restaurant LakeView, and complimentary scheduled transportation to all of the Disney theme parks and water parks. For those who will be there on the morning of a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, the complimentary breakfast even applies to the resort’s Disney Character Breakfast, where guests are able to dine with Goofy and Pluto. The “Holiday Package” starts at just $75 per room, per night, and is available November 12-December 30, 2007. A limited number of rooms are available at that rate, and the package is based on space availability.

 

Taking advantage of the package will provide the opportunity to experience the holiday wonders of the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, and of Downtown Disney®. Options include Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at The Magic Kingdom® Park, and The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney-MGM Studios. In addition to its Candlelight Processional, Epcot® is site of a holiday version of Illuminations, a festive Tree Lighting by Mickey, holiday stories told throughout World Showcase, and the “Lights of Winter” synchronized light show set to holiday music. Downtown Disney® will feature beautiful holiday decorations, as well as holiday performers and carolers.

Every aspect of the resort was touched by the renovation project, which included remodeling all guest rooms and suites, the lobby, the restaurants and lounges, and guest room corridors. All of this was complete September 1, 2007.

 

The resort now features an all-new lobby with stunning smooth bamboo hardwood floors upon entering, which lead to brightly colored plush carpet with a festive tropical “Bermuda” theme. A new Lobby Bar has been designed which is adjacent to a new “kids’ recreation zone” equipped with a large television, an array of games (including Nintendo WiiTM and fun décor, so that parents can enjoy relaxing at the Lobby Bar while still being able to watch the kids nearby. The resort has also enlarged and enhanced its 24-hour Market Place in the lobby, which offers an assortment of self-service food and beverage items, and now also offers Starbucks® products.

 

All of the resort’s 619 guest rooms and 7 suites were totally remodeled, as were the guest room corridors. Guest rooms now feature all-new furniture, soft goods, plush pillow-top mattresses, new wall coverings and beautiful artwork. Rooms and suites now have rich red bed covers, crisp white linens, royal blue carpet and stylish furnishings. Guest room corridors boast new carpeting, wall coverings, lighting, and beautiful drapes.

 

Many of the rooms and suites feature incredible views of the Walt Disney World® theme parks and of Downtown Disney®, which includes impressive views of nightly fireworks displays at the theme parks or Pleasure Island®. Other rooms feature panoramic views of the Orlando area and/or of the Downtown Disney® Resort area. All rooms and suites are equipped with a refrigerator, high-speed wireless Internet access, data ports, iron and ironing board, in-room coffee, hairdryer, radio alarm clock/MP3 adapter, in-room safe, and pay-per-view movies.
