·         Family Holiday inEgypt

(December 26, 2009–January 06, 2010)

Families can take an adventure into the heart of ancientEgypt—a land of pyramids and pharaohs, gods and goddesses, hidden tombs and golden treasures. This program features opportunities to learn about one of the greatest civilizations of antiquity woven into fun activities for kids and a fascinating lecture program for adults. Featured highlights include the Great Pyramids of Giza,TempleofIsis, and the controversial High Dam atAswan. Guests take a three-night cruise along the scenic Nile River; visit Kom Ombo and the magnificent Valley of the Kings at Luxor; enjoy time browsing the colorful, bustling Khan el-Khalili bazaar; and marvel at the treasures in the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Cairo.
