EL AL ISRAEL AIRLINES ANNOUNCES LOW FALL FARES

EXCELLENT VALUE IN ECONOMY CLASS AND HUGE SAVINGS IN BUSINESS
Plus Incredibly Low Roundtrip Fares from Boston, Chicago and Miami

New York, NY – August 17, 2009 – EL AL, Israel’s national airline, is announcing tremendous savings on travel to Israel this fall with reduced economy and business class fares on nonstop flights from New York (JFK/Newark) and Los Angeles. In addition, some of the lowest EL AL fares ever from Boston, Chicago and Miami are offered.

EL AL passengers wishing to pamper themselves can relax in Platinum Business Class for a savings of more than 25% on a roundtrip flight to Israel.  When two Business Class tickets are purchased at the same time and both passengers travel together, the new roundtrip EL AL companion fare is $2,329 per person from New York (JFK/Newark) and $3,159 on a nonstop flight from Los Angeles. These special Platinum Business Class companion fares are available for departures before October 24, 2009. 

During the same time period, the low fall roundtrip economy class fare to Israel is $905 from New York (JFK/Newark) and $1,226 on a nonstop flight from Los Angeles.

EL AL passengers flying from Boston, Chicago and Miami to Tel Aviv can also take advantage of extremely low economy class fares to Israel.  The roundtrip fare from each city is $780 and a free stopover in either direction in select European cities is included. These fares are available on departures between September 1-23, 2009 and October 18, 2009-March 21, 2010.  Flights to/from any of these three cities are operated by EL AL code share partner American Airlines and easily connect to the EL AL nonstop flights, plus luggage is automatically transferred between the flights.  Qualifying EL AL Matmid frequent flyer points are earned for these flights. Economy class fares must be purchased within 72 hours of confirmed reservation.  Business Class companion fare must be purchased when flights are confirmed and both tickets must be purchased at the same time/passengers must travel together. $94.40 applicable taxes re fares from NY and LA not included and $108.40 applicable taxes not included re fares from Boston, Chicago, and Miami.  (These include the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per U.S. enplanement, up to $5 one-way and $10 roundtrip.)
