The “Escape to the City” site also includes San Francisco hotel packages and online reservations; suggested itineraries from local personalities and other San Francisco “celebrities;” a list of “only in San Francisco” exhibitions and attractions, including “Wicked,” King Tut, Georgia O’Keefe, Ansel Adams, and others; “Free & Easy” – a list of museum special admission days and free activities throughout San Francisco; videos of local San Franciscans sharing their own favorite “only in San Francisco” experiences; “Getting There & Getting Around” – transportation information to and around San Francisco; “Diverse City Destinations” – tour itineraries celebrating San Francisco’s diverse communities; and in-depth information on the city’s 15 main neighborhoods, including what to see and do.

“San Francisco is a tremendous value right now, ” said Joe D’Alessandro, president and CEO of the SFCVB.

“Many airlines, including Virgin America and Southwest, are offering discounted airfares into San Francisco International Airport.  Coupled with cost-saving hotel packages, we encourage everyone to experience all that San Francisco has to offer including art and culture; award-winning restaurants; world-class shopping and fascinating neighborhoods to explore…all within nearly every budget.”
