**Legendary Resort Introduces Farmers' Market Culinary Classes**

 

Vail, CO -June 18, 2009 - Have a passion for peaches, a craving for cauliflower…or simply want to sharpen culinary skills? The legendary Lodge at Vail, A RockResort, invites guests to be chefs-for-a-day with the new Colorado Cookin' package. The package includes an educational journey through the Vail Farmers' Market as escorted by Executive Chef Rahm Fama, followed by a cooking class in the kitchen of Cucina Rustica restaurant.

 

Available June 20 through September 21, 2009, the Colorado Cookin' package includes two nights accommodation (Saturday night stay required), as well as the following Sunday activities:

- Sunday morning: Tour the Vail Farmers' Market as accompanied by Executive Chef Rahm Fama to select fresh ingredients for dinner.

- Noon: Return to The Lodge for a four-course brunch at The Wildflower.

- Afternoon: Receive a chef's jacket and head to the kitchen for a cooking class led by Chef Rahm. During this session, participants help prepare dinner

- Dinner: Guests can sit back and enjoy a meal that they helped create.

 

Rates start at $274 per night, based on double occupancy. Saturday night stay required. Based on availability, blackout dates apply. Tax, gratuities and resort fee not included. Percentage of savings is up to 25 percent. Stay additional nights at a discounted rate of $149 per night.

 

The Vail Farmers' Market is the largest farmers' market in Colorado. Taking place each Sunday, June 21 – September 20, 2009, Colorado farmers arrive early with their freshly picked conventional and organic fruits and vegetables. Colorado crops range from Palisade peaches, rhubarb and strawberries to sweet corn, chile peppers, broccoli and beets. Selections change weekly. Colorado farmers have earned an international reputation for producing some of the best crops in the world.
