RENAISSANCE PITTSBURGH HOTEL THANKS U.S. MILITARY PERSONNEL AND FIRST RESPONDERS

05-21-2009

‘HALF PRICE FOR HEROES’ OFFER

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — May 2009 — Members of the U.S. military and first responders are invited to participate in a thank you program from the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel called “Half Price for Heroes.”

Active and retired members of the U.S. military and first responders qualify for 50 percent off the nightly room rate at Sage Hospitality hotels across the country, including the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, Pittsburgh’s only AAA Four Diamond hotel. The discount is taken off the normal, published room rate and applicable taxes apply.

“We are honored to extend this unprecedented offer to the men and women who put their lives on the line for fellow Americans every day,” says Melanie Koscelnak, Director of Sales and Marketing at Renaissance Pittsburgh. “This is our way to say thank you to the troops returning home from overseas and for those who keep us safe here at home.”

The hotel encourages military personnel to take advantage of the “Half Price for Heroes” offer for a family vacation or a family reunion, to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary or any other special occasion. Housed in the classic Fulton Building at 107 Sixth St. in The Cultural District, this Pittsburgh luxury hotel was masterfully restored, exuding the timeless elegance of old-world charm, while providing the personal service designed for modern sensibilities. A stylish choice among boutique hotels, the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel offers lavish guest rooms that combine the sophistication of yesterday with the conveniences of tomorrow. An ideal location near five performing arts venues, shopping, the Andy Warhol Museum, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Pirates baseball at PNC Park and Steelers football at Heinz Field puts many of the city’s major attractions within easy reach.

“Half Price for Heroes” applies to active and retired members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and U.S. Coast Guard, activated members of the National Guard and Reservists, certain divisions within the Department of Defense (FBI, CIA, Secret Service and NASA) as well as those in first responder jobs — firefighters, police and paramedics. Guests will be asked to share valid military or first responder identification at check in. Book by Labor Day to take advantage of this special offer. Half Price for Heroes extends until Dec. 31, 2009. For reservations or more information, call 412-562-1200 or visit www.renaissancepittsburgh.com with booking code LPR.
