Earth Day is Everyday in Beautiful, Affordable Mendocino, CA

Mendocino County, CA -- (April 1, 2009) – With their dedication to sustainable farming and winemaking practices and their promotion of solar energy, it’s no wonder Mendocino is often called the “greenest” county in California. And as the first county in the US to ban genetically modified organisms (GMOs), they have long been recognized as a pioneer in the field of environmentalism. It makes sense then that Mendocino County is fast emerging as a major eco-tourism destination. And this spring, in conjunction with Earth Day, visitors can enjoy special lodging packages and unique earth-friendly events, all while communing with nature and renewing their spirit.

Here are just a few of the specials that are on offer:

Take an additional 10% off the MacCallum House’s “Mendocino Wellness Retreat” package this spring. Package includes Dinner for two in the MacCallum House Restaurant, lunch for two at the Living Light Culinary Institute in Fort Bragg, a signed copy of “Staying Healthy with the Season,” two one-hour therapeutic massages, free bike rentals for one day, and a Mendocino gift basket filled with locally produced bath products. Additional $350 per couple with any two night lodging reservation.
