The Region's Value Season Means Deep Discounts and Creative Amenities

 

 

North Hampton, NH (March, 2009) - Members of the New England Inns & Resorts Association (NEIRA) are kicking off the region's annual Mud Season by adding another fun element to the mix: Maple.  From late March through mid-May, New England transforms from a vast snow blanket into a muddy playground, affectionately known as mud season to the locals.  But this time of year is also considered maple season, or sugaring time.   To celebrate these uniquely New England happenings, NEIRA members are offering creative vacation packages that will invite travelers to get "In The Mood for Mud & Maple."  These packages were all specially created to highlight mud and maple elements and each one offers discounted rates and value-added amenities.

The New England Inns and Resorts Association is comprised of nearly 300 of the finest inns, resorts, hotels, and B&Bs in the region, with a wide range of accommodations to satisfy every visitor.  The Mud and Maple offerings vary by property, and visitors can find the getaway that suits them best by visiting www.NewEnglandInnsandResorts.com.  Sample packages include:

 

  • "Mud & Maple Madness" Package (Inn at Ellis River, Jackson, NH) - Includes two nights accommodations, gourmet breakfast daily, afternoon refreshments and one dinner for two at one of Jackson's award-winning, four diamond restaurants.  Package also includes two massages at nearby Moondance Massage and two of the Inn's special Maple Mudslide drinks.  Prices start at $479-499, based on double occupancy.  Package valid March 15 through May 21.

 

  • "Inn the Mood for Mud" Package(Inn by the Sea, Cape Elizabeth, ME) - Includes one night in a fireplace room with ocean views, strawberries drizzled with Rich Maine Mud Chocolate SauceTM upon arrival, two mudslide cocktails, L.L. Bean gum boots for walking in the mud and a mud mask treatment for two in the Inn's new full-service spa.  The package is $679 per couple and includes all gratuities and service charges.  Package valid March through April.

 

  • "Tap at Trapp" Package (Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, VT) - Includes two nights accommodations in a deluxe room, country breakfast daily, one pint of Trapp Maple Syrup, traditional maple sap gathering experience, sugaring demonstration, and a "Sugar on snow" party (Saturdays only).  The price for this package is $490, based on double occupancy and including taxes.  Valid March 13th - April 13th.

 

  • "Dirty, Sexy, Sweet" Package (Colonnade Hotel, Boston, MA) - Includes one night accommodation in newly renovated, sexy Luxe Room, one car wash per stay (to wipe off any mud) and Chocolate Mud Mousse for two served with sweet Maple liquor and delivered to the room.  Package starts at $279 per room.  Valid through April 29th.
