Guests Save 1 Percent for Every Candle on Their Cake Now through Dec. 23, 2009

                                                                                               

CAMBRIA, CA—Moonstone Hotel Properties today announced the launch of its special “Older Is Better” program, through which visitors celebrating a birthday during the month of their stay will receive a 1 percent discount for every year of their age.

For example, a visitor celebrating his or her 50^th birthday during the month of their stay will receive a 50 percent discount off lodging at any of Moonstone’s seven distinctive garden-themed properties located on California’s Central Coast, the Monterey Peninsula and in Oregon. Travelers simply need to call (800) 966-6490 and mention the “Older Is Better” offer.

 

“We are excited to see who our oldest guest will be,” said Lynda Gill, a regional manager for Moonstone Hotel Properties. “And, of course, if they are age 100 or older, they will stay for free.”

 

Moonstone Hotel Properties’ “Older is Better” rates are available for single or double occupancies on Sunday through Thursday nights now through December 23, 2009. The offer is not valid in July and August, however, people with birthdays in those months can choose an alternate month in which to stay. The percentage discount is applied against high season rack rates. Valid identification is required upon check-in.

Dates: Sunday through Thursday nights—now through December 23, 2009 (offer not valid in July and August)

 

Discount: One percent off for every year of age if celebrating birthday during month of stay (valid identification required upon check-in) for single or double occupancy. The offer is not valid in July and August, however, those with birthdays in those months can choose an alternate month in which to stay.

 

Additional Terms: Discount applied against high season rack rates; subject to discount rate availability; not valid with other discounts. One room per birthday per stay; birthday celebrant must be present and must pay. Promotion only good for those staying during their birthday month, except for July and August as explained above. Offer also not valid during holidays or holiday periods; and not valid for groups or guests staying with groups.
