Michelin stars abound in Britain

The 2009 Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland has handed out more stars than ever before - a record-breaking 26 news stars to deserving eateries in Britain.  Just as Homecoming celebrations kicked off a few weeks ago, Scotland now has even more reason to celebrate with four new stars.  Included in these newly starred establishments are the Plumed Horse in Edinburgh, serving modern European cuisine and The Boath House in Nairn, serving a five-course set dinner amid sumptuous decor.  For the third year in a row, Wales' The Crown at Whitebrook upheld its legacy of fine dining.  London remains the most star-studded city with eateries like St. John in Clerkenwell and Kai in Mayfair.
