     (MIAMI) January 2, 2009 - More than 30 of Miami's finest restaurants will offer $23 lunch and $36 dinner prix fixe menus during the first-ever Winter Miami Spice, which launches January 12 and runs through February 12, 2009. Organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) along with American Express as Presenting Sponsor, the new winter promotion has all the ingredients of the highly successful Miami Spice summer program which launched in 2001.

     Each of the restaurants participating in Winter Miami Spice will include an appetizer, entrée and dessert as part of the fixed price, offering an average discount of 30-60 percent off the regular value.

    "Winter Miami Spice offers unprecedented values during the peak of our winter season," said GMCVB President and CEO William D. Talbert, III, CDME. "Even in today's economy, visitors and residents alike will be able to dine at the most exclusive restaurants in Miami at a fraction of the cost. They also will be able to enjoy our tropical destination at a time that our weather and special events are at their very best."
