Consider a "Stay-in-North-Americation" to make your travel dollar go further

STOWE, Vt―Award-winning adventure tour company Boundless Journeys (www.boundlessjourneys.com) has become renowned for creative, well-planned adventures to some of the world's most exotic and exciting destinations. But the New England based company also offers a selection of classic North American hiking and sea kayaking adventures, taking travelers off the beaten path and into remote wilderness and small towns, so you can forget the "staycation" this summer, and simply choose a "stay-in-North-Americation". Says Boundless Journeys president, Matt Holmes "we recognize that travelers are feeling an economic pinch right now, and it is more important than ever that travelers get great value for their dollar. Our exceptional local guides, well-chosen inns and lodges, and carefully planned itineraries ensure that you'll come home refreshed, with great memories and the feeling that your travel budget was money well spent."

Following is a selection of Boundless Journeys' most popular North American Adventures:

Mexico: Baja and the Sea of Cortez Adventure (www.boundlessjourneys.com/destinations/namerica/baja)

This flexible itinerary enables a variety of activities, from kayaking, to hiking, to water activities. Guests discover outlying islands and the locals' favorite fishing and snorkeling spots, exploring many hidden coves and white sand beaches by kayak. Excursions from camp explore nearby snorkeling hot spots, including a sea lion rookery, where guests have the rare opportunity to swim with these graceful creatures.

Canadian Rockies: Mountain Paths of Banff & Yoho (www.boundlessjourneys.com/destinations/namerica/banjasp)

Guests hike on trails that lead to classic Rocky Mountain vistas and offer glimpses of the diverse resident wildlife, including moose, elk, bighorn sheep, and bear. Each day, expert local guides uncover the secrets of this inspiring natural realm. In the evenings, return to scenic accommodations and relive the day's adventures over well-earned meals.

May 17-22, May 31-June 6, September 6-11, October 4-9; 6 days; $2795 per person
From the remote North Rim, guests hike with experienced guides to multicolored vistas, taking in the vast buttes and towers of the Grand Canyon. In Bryce, hikes meander past whimsical hoodoos and evenings are spent enjoying a spectacular inn at the base of the canyon's red cliffs. The final days in Zion are spent hiking on seldom accessed trails, and across natural stone bridges. Evenings are spent in a historic lodge and charming inns, enjoying authentic southwestern dinners and listening to cowboy poetry under the stars.

Vancouver Island: Pacific Rim Kayaking & Hiking (www.boundlessjourneys.com/destinations/namerica/vancouver)
July 12-17, August 9-14; 6 days; $2995 per person
The rugged coastal mountains to the east and the vast Pacific to the west form the borders of Boundless Journeys' exploration of the beautiful Pacific Rim National Park. Boundless Journeys guests are based in the Broken Group Islands to take advantage of early morning and evening paddles, as well as full days of exploration of tide pools, sea caves, and deserted islands. Gray whale and eagle sightings are common, and paddlers may even witness black bears foraging along the shore. Fresh, gourmet meals served al fresco by the campfire fill the evenings, until the group returns to a luxury seaside inn for a final toast to a week well spent.

Customized private trips are also available on request to Vermont, Maine, the Olympic Peninsula, and California Wine Country
