Make friends in Britain's Heritage Cities

Say "hi" before you fly to the UK. Get to know locals based in some of the country's most historic cities.  VisitBritain has partnered with Britain's Heritage Cities on its Be a Brit Different campaign.  The result?  A cool group of locals from Bath, Durham, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Canterbury, Lincoln, York and Chester providing US travelers the ultimate insider tips.  In Stratford-upon-Avon visitors can meet a native New Yorker who has been living in Shakespeare's hometown as a literary scholar.  In York, there's a nun-turned-entrepreneur who rescued a convent and turned it into a B&B and shop.  For more on friends like these visit http://www.beabritdifferent.com/.
