The Family FUN Program at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa has won Travel Weekly's 2008 Gold Magellan Award. The FUN Program won in the "Hotels and Resorts/Family Resort and Hotel" category. The Magellan Awards honor the best service providers and programs in travel industry, and the 2008 competition received thousands of entries from top travel organizations and professionals worldwide. The Gold Magellan Award is the latest accolade for the Westin Kierland's Family FUN Program. In June, the resort's FUN Department won the Stars of the Industry Award, bestowed by the American Hotel & Lodging Association to operations that best develop a climate conducive to new or repeat business, create goodwill among guests and provide special services for customers.
