Ho Ho Ho – Merry Traveling and Happy Experiences.

Tis the season to revel and indulge in the plethora of holiday experiences awaiting guests of Small Luxury Hotels of the World starting in the beginning of December. From celebrating under the World’s largest Christmas tree and Tuscan cooking lessons in a private 16^th century villa in Italy to shopping by limousine in New York and Paris, options abound this holiday season and there is certainly something for every taste. Whether travelers are looking to learn how to fish in New Zealand, play golf in Scotland or just eat, drink and be merry in a selection of historic English Country Houses, SLH offers exciting packages that are sure to make even Santa swoon.

To prepare for Christmas, several hotels have created packages to help those looking for the perfect gifts to put under the tree. If the magic of New York is what travellers are after, The Iroquois hotel is giving guests the freedom to explore the Big Apple. Their Holiday in New York experience includes 3 night’s accommodation in a one-bedroom suite, breakfast daily and 12 hours of limousine to take in all the sites and carry all those shopping bags. It is valid from December 16 – 30 for $2950 excluding tax.

A little further upstate in New York, Mirror Lake Inn Resort & Spa offers a more intimate gift buying experience with the Holiday Shopping Package which includes up to a 15% discount at local boutiques and craft stores, gift wrapping, overnight accommodations and breakfast for two.

While at the Inn between December 2^nd and 20^th, Santa will be visiting all the children at turndown, sharing some cookies and milk and making sure to take their Christmas wishes.

Those in search of top fashions and a bit of romance can enjoy Christmas in Paris with The Saint James Paris’ Christmas Shopping package. Valid from December 1 – 26, the package includes accommodation, buffet breakfast, Cruise on the Seine river, Tea-time, and a shopping kit including 10% off at the Galeries Lafayette department store. Superior room rates start at 350 euros per night.

The Park Hotel ai Cappuccini in Gubbio has a variety of activities and packages in store for this Christmas including celebrating under the “Largest Christmas Tree in the World” according to the Guinness Book of world records standing at 800 meters high by 400 meters wide. There is also a traditional concert of classical music in the San Domenico Church, with the performance of International star musicians and conductors. If guests are looking for a little more privacy in Italy and to celebrate with family or lots of friends, Villa Mangiacane in Florence is offering a private 16^th Centaury Villa for up to 18 people complete with a private chef, butler, concierge and dedicated waiter. Just across the Mediterranean, Eagles Palace in Greece will be open special from 21st of December until 6th of January and offering a festive experience for the whole family. Christmas package is 360 Euro, per person and includes 3 nights in a Junior Suite with Sea View, daily breakfast, Christmas Dinner and while the kids are watching the daily Christmas movies, mom and dad can enjoy access to the Spa center.

A little more energetic than relaxing in Greece is the Isle of Eriska in Scotland’s complete 4-day holiday extravaganza planned from Sunday December 23^rd through Thursday December 27^th. After enjoying one of the above Christmas packages it is time to welcome in the New Year. The G Hotel in Galway is hosting a New Year’s Eve Venetian Masked Ball. All guests are invited to attend in black tie but the more adventurous will, of course, attend in authentic costume. Venetian masks will be provided on the evening to add atmosphere and mystique.
