Whistler Farmers' Market
June 15, 2008 - October 12, 2008

With harvest season upon us, stalls at the Whistler Farmers' Market have been loaded with local produce including potatoes, root vegetables, beans, herbs, strawberries and blueberries. Every Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., stalls fill the pedestrian streets of the Upper Village (near the Fairmont Chateau Whistler) with artisans, crafts, organic and local produce, jams, honey, baked goods, jewelry, clothing and much more.

For the final weekend, which coincides with the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and Turkey Sale, the market will be held on both Saturday and Sunday (October 11 and 12). Saturday will see the return of the Harvest Soup Contest, where visitors can taste soups made by several different local chefs for one low price, and vote for their favourite!

The Day after Halloween Dance Party
November 1, 2008

With the children's Halloween costumes packed away for another year, next it's time for the adults to play! The Rotary Club of Whistler presents an adult only costume and dance party, with live DJ, door prizes, raffles, silent auction and carnival games. PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola Update

Construction is nearing completion on this world-record breaking gondola. Leading up to the grand opening, crews will be in the final stages of preparation. All 28 Sky Cabins are on the line and are being housed in the terminal buildings. Keep your eyes to the sky to see the cabins travelling across the valley.

Friday, December 12 marks the official opening day for the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. The grand opening will feature on-mountain festivities and parties all weekend. Stay tuned for more details.
