Rocky Mountaineer Vacations Woos Early Bird Travellers with Special Offer

08-20-2008

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (August 19, 2008) – The new 2009 Rocky Mountaineer Vacations’ brochure has hit the market along with a very special travel offer. Travellers who book their vacation early can swoop in on travel deals if they book now until January 15, 2009. When booking a minimum six-night Rocky Mountaineer vacation package in GoldLeaf Service with Fairmont deluxe accommodation, guests receive a Fairmont Hotels & Resorts gift card worth up to $600 per couple. The gift card may be used for any purchases billed to the guest room or amenities such as dining, shopping or spa treatments.

“We have created a new brochure which has refreshed and streamlined the look of each of our vacation packages,” says Randy Powell, President of Rocky Mountaineer Vacations. “Many travellers are already exploring options for their vacation next year and our Early Booking Bonus provides a great incentive to book now.”

Great vacation options include the Classic Rail Circle, a six-night/seven-day journey through the dramatic and diverse scenery of Canada’s West onboard the Whistler Mountaineer and two unique Rocky Mountaineer train routes. The Whistler Mountaineer train travels between Vancouver and Whistler offering a great way to see the host cities of the 2010 Olympics before the world does. Another option is the Canadian Rockies Escape, a seven-night/eight-day journey onboard two spectacular Rocky Mountaineer rail routes to the Canadian Rockies and resort towns of Jasper, Banff and Lake Louise, Alberta.

The Rocky Mountaineer operates on three different routes between Vancouver or Whistler, British Columbia and the Canadian Rockies destinations of Jasper, Banff and Calgary, Alberta. Each landscape is varied and clearly one of Mother Nature’s greatest achievements. Towering mountains, raging rivers and elusive wilderness inhabitants such as bighorn sheep, bear, moose, elk and deer can all be seen from onboard the train. The best view is in the luxury of Rocky Mountaineer GoldLeaf Service, complete with bi-level glass dome coaches, panoramic views, delicious cuisine and onboard commentary of the region.

The Early Booking Bonus is applicable to qualifying vacation packages of six nights or more departing during the 2009 summer season from May until October. In addition, guests have the option to book in GoldLeaf Service, without Fairmont accommodation, and receive a $400 gift card per couple. Early bird travellers will also receive an additional bonus offer if they book their qualifying vacation package in GoldLeaf Service by November 15, 2008. The bonus offer gives guests a free upgrade to a Fairmont Room at the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in applicable destinations. When booking in RedLeaf Service, guests receive $200 per couple. This offer is applicable to new bookings only and is not available in conjunction with any other promotion. Some further restrictions may apply.
