Whistler Wellness Week
May 31 - June 7, 2008
Betterment of the mind, body and spirit is the focus of a jam-packed week of wellness at the third annual Whistler Wellness Week, May 31 - June 7, 2008. This year there will be more than 100 different seminars, workshops, and activities for people to participate in. Participants can take part in individual workshops on an a la carte basis or purchase passes for the day or week. Whistler Wellness Week is North America's largest alpine wellness festival. New this year is Yoga Twenty Four - the opportunity to participate in a 24-hour yoga marathon. Each day there will be as many as 14 different workshops and activities to select from. Enviro-Fest

First in the new series of Art Workshops on the Lake is Life Drawing with Maeve Bellmore.. Life drawing is the traditional cornerstone of art training as the human figure offers every challenge one could require - line and tone, perspective and composition. Realizing that proportions and anatomy work to help you instantly draw masterful faces, hands, feet, hair, and how to help you draw clothes on people. How to draw clothes and how to draw clothes and folds in them can be very difficult. You need an understanding of the human figure in order to know how clothes will fall on the body. Summer Glacier Skiing and Snowboarding on Blackcomb Mountain opens
June 9 to July 27 2008

Bike Park 101 - * New This Summer *

You don't have to be a pro to have fun in the bike park. This is the perfect program for beginner riders who would like an introduction to the Whistler Blackcomb Bike Park. If you feel confident on a bike but have never ridden in the Bike Park before, Bike Park 101 will have you off and running in no time. Includes Bike Park Lift Ticket, Lesson and Rentals. Women's Wednesdays (and Mondays)

Women's Wednesdays are so popular that we've added an extra night! Chicks rip it up in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park Monday & Wednesday nights. Whistler Blackcomb is growing the sport of downhill mountain biking for women with these fantastic girls-only clinics. Women's Wednesdays are the perfect opportunity for women to experience lift-accessed downhill riding with friends in a relaxed environment. The program offers something for riders of every ability whether it's your first time or 100th time in the Bike Park. Women's Wednesdays run every Monday and Wednesday between 5 to 8pm. Comfortably Numb Trail Running Race
June 22, 2008
Comfortably Numb follows a winding 25 km trail through moss covered forest. Elevation gain is mostly in the first half. Majority of the course is undulating trail through forest, with most of the descent and tricky sections near the finish. Information: www.comfortablynumb.ca

Whistler Cancer Awareness and Prevention Walk

One step closer to awareness, prevention and a cure is the purpose of this Canadian Cancer Society of BC fundraiser. Participants will walk distances ranging from five to 25 kilometres on Whistler's beautiful Valley Trail. Walk starts and finishes at Dusty's Bar & Grill in Creekside, starting at 9 a.m.
