Give Dad the Ultimate Scotland Experience This Father's Day

05-24-2008

Just in time for Father's Day 2008, true whisky connoisseurs and adventure lovers are invited to embark upon the Ultimate Scotland Experience, an all-inclusive holiday package for the man who has everything. This luxury getaway gives travelers the most elite accommodations, meals and experiences that the beautiful Scottish countryside has to offer.

Scotland's preeminent luxury travel agency Dream Escape and the Classic Malts Selection, the world's finest portfolio of single malts from Scotland's six distilling regions, have partnered to create an unforgettable vacation package that includes private tastings at legendary whisky distilleries, decadent dining in historic castles and more. Guests will have the opportunity to explore Scotland's premier distilleries and tee off on world-renowned golf courses among other exclusive activities, with pros available to impart their expert guidance along the way.

Day One: Guests touch down via private jet close to St. Andrews, Scotland and meet their personal chauffeured transportation to the exclusive five-star Myres Castle in Fife. Guests will have time to relax while they settle into their luxurious surroundings before indulging in a lavish dinner and drinks, featuring select single malt whiskies from the Classic Malts Selection, including Talisker, Obaní, Cragganmore, Dalwhinnie and more.

Day Two: Enjoy a dream game of golf at world-famous St. Andrews, the home of golf. Play both the Old Course and the brand-new Castle Course with world-renowned golf pros. After a dram or two at the historic Jigger Inn, guests and golf pros will be escorted to a fireside gourmet meal.

Day Three: Whisky lovers will undoubtedly look forward to a helicopter ride to Islay where they will enjoy two whisky Master Classes at the Lagavulin and Caol Ila distilleries, each led by an expert who will divulge the nuances of their specialty Scotch. The evening will conclude with a luxury motorboat ride that will whisk travelers away for a one-night stay at The Colonsay, the only hotel on the nearby Island of Colonsay.

Day Four: Following a morning round of golf at the Colonsay Club, a seaplane will transfer the group to the remote Isle of Skye for lunch at the famous Three Chimneys before continuing to a whisky Master Class at Talisker, the region's sole distillery and one of the most popular expressions in the Classic Malts Selection. The day culminates with a scenic seaplane flight back to the mainland and a stay at the magnificent Corrour Lodge nestled in the Scottish Highlands.

Day Five: After exploring the estate of Corrour each guest will find a full set of Highland dress, including a kilt, on their bed to be donned for the evening's celebrations. Traditional Scottish food, a piper, and drams of select single malts are just a few of the customs that follow.

Day Six: The day's activities personify luxury, beginning with a morning drive through the scenic countryside in gleaming high-performance automobiles such as Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins chosen by each guest. The group will venture to the Island of Bute and the spectacular gothic palace of Mount Stuart, where they will enjoy a tour of the opulent manor. Guests will then be treated to the trip's finale, an indulgent food and whisky pairing dinner, led by three of Scotland's foremost whisky experts and three of the country's finest chefs.

Day seven marks farewell to the Ultimate Scotland Experience when guests are transported via helicopter to catch their private jet back home. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is the perfect way to toast Dad with the finer things in life and is available April through September 2008, weather permitting. This ultra-luxury, all-inclusive seven-day trip costs approximately $500,000 USD for five adults (age 21 and over). For booking information, dreamescape.co.uk.
