NISBET PLANTATION BEACH CLUB WINS ACCOLADES FROM GUESTS AND INDUSTRY ALIKE

10-24-2007

NEVIS, West Indies — 2007 has been a banner year for Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, and the accolades continue as Nisbet opens for the 2007-2008 season.

Consistently, independent reviewers have given Nisbet Plantation Beach Club a perfect 5.0 rating on tripadvisor.com.  TripAdvisor ranks Nisbet #1 of all hotels on the two-island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis and within the top ten of all in the Caribbean.  (See Nisbet Plantation Beach Club tripadvisor Reviews)  Nisbet is so confident that guests will rave about their experiences at the property that it provides the reviews right on the resort Web site home page www.NisbetPlantation.com for Internet visitors to see for themselves.

The readers of Condé Nast Traveler love Nisbet Plantation Beach Club so much that Nisbet was named one of the top three Best Resorts in the Caribbean in their Reader’s Choice Awards, announced just this month and featured in the November issue.  Of all the thousands of resorts in the islands, Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, the only plantation inn located directly on the beach, with an intimate 36 rooms and superior hospitality, has won the hearts of sophisticated travelers worldwide.

AAA awarded Nisbet two 4-Diamond ratings in 2007 for the resort and the Great House dining room.  The Great House offers exquisite dining in an elegant air-conditioned setting, one of only two on the entire island of Nevis.  All of the guest accommodations’ interiors were completely redesigned in 2006 and improvements continue.  General Manager Glen Hurd insists, “To ensure we meet the highest standards in guest service and amenities, we continue to enhance the resort.”  An artificial reef has been completed along the beach to boost the environment for ocean life and swimmers. Now, Nisbet eagerly anticipates the opening of The Palms Spa, its on-site spa completely redesigned in an expanded space offering a full selection of massage and treatments, as well as signature amenities and world-renowned Epicuren’s healing products.  The Palms Spa is planned to open in mid-November.

“As a small Caribbean hotel, it can be a challenge to reach sophisticated travelers and convince them that Nisbet is an exceptional little jewel where they can come and totally relax,” adds Mr. Hurd.  “While all these awards certainly have increased our visibility, our dedicated staff always will be ready to make each and every guest feel welcomed and cherished.”

About Nisbet Plantation Beach Club

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club is the Caribbean’s only deluxe plantation inn located directly on the beach.  It is one of the Caribbean’s historic sugar plantations and the ancestral home of Fanny Nisbet, the loving and ever-faithful wife of Britain's most famous naval hero — Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson.

The plantation’s beautifully-restored Great House, c. 1778, and 36 charming cottages all with modern conveniences are set in 30 acres of lush tropical foliage.  The resort recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation.

Condé Nast Traveler’s readers rank Nisbet in the top 3 of all Caribbean resorts.  Nisbet has two AAA 4-Diamond Awards — one for the hotel and one for the Great House dining room.  If customer satisfaction is the key measure of the quality experience a guest receives, then it is important to note that Nisbet Plantation is one of the Top 10 Caribbean hotels based on reviews posted on TripAdvisor.com and one of only a handful of hotels to receive a Perfect 5.0 Rating.

About Nevis

This 36-square-mile Caribbean island lies near the top of the Lesser Antilles archipelago, about 200 miles south of Puerto Rico, and just west of Antigua. This island jewel is approximately 7 miles long and 5 miles wide, with natural vegetation that is unparalleled. Nevis is one of the remaining unspoiled places on earth.  From the top of the 3,232-foot Nevis Peak created by the only shield volcano in the Caribbean, to the depths of the clear waters offshore, there is a world of flora and fauna to be explored.
