Madeira, Portugal (April 21, 2008) – The Atlantic Festival, which takes place every June on Madeira, is one of Europe's most celebrated and internationally recognized fireworks competitions, and this year Reid’s Palace is offering a new opportunity for guests to enjoy the luminous pyrotechnic display from the hotel's clifftop perch - arguably one of the best possible views.  The Fireworks Festival package at Reid’s Palace includes a romantic dinner for two under the stars in Brisa do Mar with the fireworks as the final course.    

 

Each Saturday in June, the International Fireworks Competition is performed by a contestant country as part of the Atlantic Festival, which runs for the entire month of June and consists of the Madeira Music Festival, performances by philharmonic orchestras and the International Fireworks Competition.  Countries that have competed in the past include Spain, Mexico, Canada, Thailand, Russia and Portugal.
