Flying Heritage Collection Lands at Paine Field Airport

The Flying Heritage Collection will celebrate the grand opening of its new location at Paine Field Airport on June 6, 2008, coinciding with the 64th anniversary of D-Day. The 15-plane, three-artifact collection will be housed in a restored 51,000-square-foot hangar on the grounds of the airport. The Flying Heritage Collection is a collection of rare World War II-era military aircraft owned by Microsoft co-creator and philanthropist Paul G. Allen. It is one of the world's largest collections of vintage aircraft to be restored to flying condition and features planes from the five major combatants of World War II - the United States, Britain, Japan, Germany and Russia.
