TOUR VISITS PRIVATE GARDENS AND LANDSCAPES OF SPAIN

03-19-2008

On June 19, a very select and special group of travelers will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit private gardens of Spain that, until now, have never been open to the public. Katherine Greenberg, President of the Pacific Horticultural Foundation and past President of the Mediterranean Garden Society will lead the tour.

This unique experience has been created in conjunction with Susan Maurer, who for years has been nationally recognized by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine as a leading expert on Spain.

The 12-day journey has been specially arranged to coordinate with Expo 2008, which is being held in Zaragoza. Over 100 countries will be participating with different plazas and pavilions. This year’s theme is “Water and Sustainable Development” and will focus on how water has been used through the years in gardens and landscapes.

Spain’s unique regional cuisine and wines will also be featured on this vacation opportunity with a number of special events, including dinners in private homes and renowned restaurants. Lodging will include historic hotels, a 5-star spa and, of course, a Parador.

The land cost is $6,685 per person, and only 6 spaces remain on the trip. Those interested can call Landmark Travel for a detailed itinerary at 925-253-2600 or send an email to Susie@landmarktravel.com.
