Top 10 Getaways for Tiny Travelers

Family Travel Forum, the leading publisher of family vacation/travel websites, has announced the winners of the 10th annual "Top 10 Getaways for Tiny Travelers" awards honoring resorts that cater to the special needs of new parents with children under age 5. The company's 2007 survey discovered that the same pioneering resorts that were honored a decade ago continue to excel in meeting the changing needs of family travelers. And here they are:

Top Beach Resorts:
* Beaches Boscobel, Jamaica - All Beaches Resorts have invited Big Bird and other Sesame Street characters to edu-tain the preschool crowd.

Elmo and the gang welcome kids at Jamaica's Beaches Boscobel.

* Franklyn D. Resort, Jamaica - Where private vacation nannies continue to cater to babies, kids, moms, dads and now, grandparents.

Top Country Resorts:
* Smugglers' Notch, Vermont - Where two-and-a-half-year-olds can begin ski lessons in what's become the active family's year-round getaway.

* The Tyler Place, Vermont - Where phenomenal tinies through teens' programs and a low-key atmosphere have kept families coming back for 75 summers.

Top European Getaways:
* The Grove, England - Sister resort to our original winner, London's Athenaeum, this country property caters to babies in real British style.

* Sheraton Algarve Pine Cliffs, Portugal - Whose luxury services and children's facilities get even better each year with input from guest surveys.

What’s more, there are no tests, no papers (and there are some interesting excursions to stately homes, castles, cathedrals and museums). ...More
