Fall 2007 Leaf Watch To Feature Reports From More Than 20 North Carolina Locations

09-08-2007

Raleigh, N.C. (Sept. 6, 2007) Fall is coming to North Carolina—from the mountains to the sea. In addition to the more than 20 leaf watchers who will be trumpeting the fall color leaf reports from their perches across the scenic state, coastal destinations will be offering fall fishing reports.

As the Gulf Stream shifts each fall, the unique combination of air and water currents around the state’s barrier islands and beaches creates ideal conditions for fall fishing. The fall fishing reports tell what kind of fish are biting…and where to reel in the big one. Individuals can also load their photos of their North Carolina catches onto www.visitnc.com/fallfish/fallfish_form.asp#fishy .

Both the fall color and fall fishing reports will appear on VisitNC.com starting Sept. 26 and continue through October. Reports will be updated each Wednesday. Readers can visit the site to read the chatty, often humorous updates or call one of two hotlines for additional information and travel planning assistance:

Fall Leaf Hotline: 1-866-6LEAVES (866-653-2837)

Fall Fishing Hot Line: 1-888-2FISHNC (888-234-7462)
