Tofino, B.C.'s Long Beach Lodge Resort Knows What Women Want...

02-22-2008

Ultimate Gal Pal Getaway Available Until April 30, 2008

Tofino, B.C. (February 21, 2008): "Girls Gone Wild" takes on a whole new meaning with the ultimate gal pal getaway package at Long Beach Lodge Resort, located on spectacular Cox Bay, in Tofino B.C.

What do women really want? They want their girlfriends, good wine, great food, pampering and a bit of wild west coast adventure. Long Beach Lodge has pulled this all together into one great package.

From March 1 to April 30, 2008 (with the exception of spring break March 15 to 24) Long Beach Lodge is offering women a chance to kick-back and bond. Starting at $119.00 CAD per person, per night, deluxe accommodations for four may be had in a private Rainforest Cottage which comes complete with two large bedrooms, two private bathrooms (one with a huge soaker tub), full kitchen, a living room with a cozy fireplace and best of all, a secluded "ladies only" hot tub.

From start to finish, this getaway is all about "spoiling for a good time." Consider the continental breakfast delivered to the cottage each morning. Or how about the bottle of bubbly and strawberries awaiting everyone's arrival? Oh, it gets better! Soft fuzzy bathrobes and slippers in the rooms and a movie basket with popcorn and Mel Gibson trying to fit into panty hose in the hit movie, "What Women Want."

At the end of the day, Long Beach Lodge will encourage girls to establish a "beach-head" in the Great Room of the main lodge. This is a front row seat for one of the most awe-inspiring sunsets possible and just about one of the best martinis this side of the Pacific Ocean. The package also includes a $50 per person credit towards dining and beverages in the resort's beachfront dining room.

And if the girls really want to go wild, they can hang ten pedicured toes off a board with surfing lessons from $95.00 per person for a 2 hour lesson. And if they decide they need to get their pinkies pedi'ed first? Long Beach Lodge will arrange some wellness-seeking at the Sacred Stone Spa where a $110.00 voucher will get girls a much-deserved spa treatment and a one-hour morning yoga class.

Long Beach Lodge Resort also knows a woman on the go needs to get away, and get in and get out quickly. Its airline partners Orca Air (www.flyorcaair.com) and Kenmore Airline (www.kenmoreair.com) and are great at whisking girls away, whether that whisking point is Seattle, Victoria or Vancouver.

Oh, and if a woman's best friend includes her dog, there are a limited number of pet-friendly cottages available too. More information on the  "What Women Want" getaway is available in the "Special Packages" section of the Long Beach Lodge Resort website: www.longbeachlodgeresort.com or call 1-877-844-7873.

Long Beach Lodge Resort first opened its doors in May 2002, and has become one of the top resorts on Vancouver Island. Set literally on the ocean at Cox Bay, Tofino B.C., it offers luxurious accommodation in a relaxed setting, with 40 lodge rooms, a full service dining room, 20 two-bedroom cottages as well as meeting space.   Famous for its Great Room, which was recently expanded and renovated, the resort was featured in Architectural Digest magazine and has won a number of awards for both its exterior and interior design. Spa services may be arranged on or off property, by request, and as mentioned, pet friendly rooms are also available.
