TRY YOUR HAND AT A LITTLE IRISH MAGIC THIS HALLOWEEN AT ASHFORD CASTLE

 

 

Cong, Ireland - September 4, 2014: Just in time for Halloween, junior witches and wizards are invited to descend upon the Wizard School at Ashford Castle to try their hands at magic, spells and fun with the whole family. The 13th-century five-star castle on the west coast of Ireland promises to give a frightful and delightful experience filled with winding passageways, soaring ceilings and secret gardens.

 

With 350 acres of secluded woodlands, guests can explore the mystical grounds through the "Forbidden Forest" treasure hunt, wave their wands for treats at the "House of Elves" cooking class and leave the broomsticks aside for an afternoon "Chamber of Art" painting class. This unique experience has something for everyone, including a romantic multi-course dinner for the grown-ups!

 

The special Wizard School packages offered from October 25th through November 1st include:

 

Day 1 (October 25; 27; 29; 31): 

  • Noon: "Forbidden Forest" treasure hunt with the family
  • 3pm: Visit the hiding place of Dingle, Ashford Castle's resident owl (supervised)
  • 4pm: Afternoon "Chamber of Art" painting class (supervised)
  • 5pm - 6:30pm: Kids' dinner in the Ardilaun Suite (supervised)
  • 6:30pm - 9pm: Harry Potter movie night (supervised)
  • From 7pm: George V table d'hôte dinner for the parents

Day 2 (October 26; 28; 30; November 1):

  • Noon: "Hidden Garden" treasure hunt with the family
  • 3pm: "House of Elves" little helpers Cookery School (supervised)
  • 4pm - 5pm: Afternoon "Chamber of Witchcraft & Wizardry" (supervised)
  • 5pm - 6pm: Kids' dinner in the Ardilaun Suite (supervised)
  • 6.30pm - 9pm: Harry Potter movie night (supervised)
  • From 7pm: George V table d'hôte dinner for the parents

The one-night package is priced at $690 per room, and the two-night package is priced at $1,309 per room. Both packages include breakfast, offer accommodations in a Deluxe Family Room and are based on two adults and two children (under 12 years old) sharing the room.
