The Venice Experience offers English-speaking visitors a unique perspective of Venice.

(PRNewsChannel) / Venice, Italy – A new private tour of Venice, Italy offers an enriched experience to Americans who want English-speaking insiders to share stories of the legendary streets and canals of Venice.

The intimate, customized tour was created by Karen and Mike Henderson, a husband and wife team from the United States who fell in love with the city and recently moved here.

The Venice Experience offers English-speaking visitors a unique perspective of Venice.  It’s not a guided tour.  They say it’s more like having friends or family touring you around offering commentary along the way.

“We fell in love with Venice the first time we went and just kept visiting,” says Mrs. Henderson who earlier this year resigned her corporate job in the U.S. to move to Venice.   “We absolutely love Venice and want to share with tourists the best places to go without getting lost or wasting hours of valuable travel time struggling to find things.”

The idea, they say, is to help tourists feel more comfortable so they can relax and enjoy the city that’s rich in heritage, history and culture.

The Hendersons first vacationed in Venice in 2003.  They returned every year after that and stayed up to four weeks each time.

For many tourists from the U.S., the U.K. and Australia, the language barrier presents a struggle to understanding and prevents them from fully enjoying the Venice experience.

When they still lived in the U.S., every time they left Venice they longed to return.  The husband and wife team decided to take the plunge and move to Italy full time to do what brings them great joy.

“This was an opportunity to do something completely different,” says Karen Henderson.  “And we took it.”
