TourCrafters Offers 10% Discount on a $915 Florence Package for Foodies

09-18-2013

Libertyville, IL, September 18, 2013—Far more fun than watching Italian cooking shows on television is Tourcrafters’ newest deal: a 7-night  Cooking Experience in Florence—with cooking classes—in a city famous for outstanding Tuscan cuisine (not to mention art, culture and fashion).  What’s more, TourCrafters is offering a 10% discount if you call 1-800-Italy-95 and book and pay for the package by December 1.

The land-only package starts at $915 and includes an arrival transfer, seven nights’ accommodation in a 3-star hotel, daily Italian buffet breakfast, a food tasting walking tour, a classic Tuscan cooking class followed by dinner in a Florentine palace, a tiramisu and pastry cooking class, a pizza and gelato cooking class, and a full-day tour (with wine tasting) to the historic city of Siena, the medieval town of San Gimignano and the scenic Chianti wine district.  The cooking classes are hands-on and English-speaking.  The package is available from November 1 to the end of March, with a blackout during the Christmas/New Year period and the Pitti Fair.

The $915 price includes the modern, 3-star, recently refurbished Hotel Meridiana but, of course, there are many hotel upgrades available.  For example, the 4-star Cavour, a traditional hotel in the historic center, costs $1,019 and the 4-star superior Pierre, an attractive hotel smack in the heart of Florence, costs $1,269.

TourCrafters is also offering a more  professional Florence package (10% discount) with a gourmet tour plus two private cooking classes with lunch or dinner, two scheduled cooking classes and  two wine classes at the prestigious Apicius culinary school.  In addition, their popular one-week package (with cooking demonstrations and tastings) at the Hotel Villa Romana on the sunny Amalfi Coast will be repeated this winter.

All prices quoted are per person, double occupancy and are subject to availability.  Prices do not include transatlantic air fare or city tax, which must be paid directly to the hotel in euros.
